The pro bono project of a lifetime
What does it mean to be a hero? "Under One Flag" answers that question by shining a light on individuals connected — across time and continents — by the tragedies of 9/11, including a New York City firefighter, a Marine from Iowa, and a patriot who lives to honor fallen soldiers. It is the collective story of people, united in service to others, who want nothing but to give everything.
I researched and wrote this story over two years. It was a labor of love, as our project team donated all time, talent, and proceeds to initiatives honoring the book's subjects.
I have always loved to write.
From construction paper-and-glue-stick books at age 7 (I have one saved!) to a hardcover listing on amazon.com that touched readers across the nation, telling stories — real, true, meaningful stories that better the human condition — has been my life's work.
